Funny you should bring that up, I bought my Energi two weeks ago and I noticed the same thing with mine. I took it into the Ford dealership by my house (because it was closer then the one where I leased my car from) and tried to explain what I have noticed, and they looked at me like I was speaking greek or something.

They even took out my owners manual to read up on it. This is not my first car with automatic lights and it's not acting like all the others previously.
I took it into the dealership where I leased it yesterday explained the issue to them and after 3 hrs of waiting they informed me it was problem with the light sensor on the dash and they had to order a replacement. So I will wait and see what becomes of that, so no, your not alone.
