Hi, does anyone know if 3 car seats will fit in the Fusion? I assume the hybrid and energi rear seat dimensions are the same?

Well in the previous generation they fit. The total hip space in the 2010 Energi was something like 54 inches, which means 18 inches for each car seat.

A quick search on WalMart shows that most car seats, except the most extravagant ones are less than 18 inches. You could also get a narrow infant seat and then not worry too much about the seats for the 2 larger kids. Then by the time the infant needs one of the bigger seats, hopefully your oldest can just use a booster seat!?

It is possible depending on the width of each car seat. But keep in mind that there are tether anchors only on the outboard passenger seats and not for the middle. Ideally, the middle would be best for a larger child's booster seat rather than a toddler or infant.

Are you talking infant car seats or convertibles?

In my wife's MDX, which has LATCHES in every position, I could barely imagine getting 3 Britax Marathon (convertible) seats in there. We have two seats currently. If you have a Britax Frontier 85 (older child) or equivalent, I cannot see it happening.

The MDX is a couple inches wider than the fusion.

I don't think so. 2 car sests are already taking so much space of my Energi. So fitting 3 sounds impossible.
