At the 2013 International Consumers Electronics Show in Vegas, Connected World Magazine has awarded the all-new 2013 Ford Fusion Energi plug-in hybrid the midsize Connected World Car of the Year for 2013.
The Fusion Energi offers the most comprehensive selection of advanced features that assist drivers. The Energi plug-in hybrid comes standard with Ford Sync with MyFord Touch and is compatible with MyFord mobile Smartphone app. Chief technical officer and vice president Paul Mascarenas says “SYNC has helped us evolve as an automaker” saying that it helped Ford think and act more like a technology company and allowed them to go further to transform innovative ideas into products that are “affordable, attainable and valuable for millions of people.”
The Fusion Energi is available with a full suite of driver assistance technologies including a lane-keeping system, a driver alert system, blind spot information system, active park assist, cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, collision warning and a rear view camera. The sensing technologies help extend the driver’s senses to help assist the driver in staying safe on the road. The all-new Ford Fusion Energi makes these technologies more affordable than they have ever been before.
